New Foster Brother...
Well we have done it again. Mom was going to try to wait two seekd till we got another foster brother but The shelter in Grand Prairie called and they had a really greay guy that they were going to try to adopt out but then he got sick. He has a runny nose and his back left leg is really swollen for some reason. He had to stay in the kennel in our garage last night so he didn't get us sick.Don't worry, mom made him a nice warm bed with blankets over his kennel and it was not cold in there.
She took him tot he vet this morning and they are going to take a look at him and possibly neuter him tomorrow if he is not too sick. We named him Carlos after the baby on "The Hangover", because dad really thought it fit, mom is not too sure, hehe. Anyway hopefully mom will get some pictures soon and we can actually meet him.
Hope you all had a doggerific weekend!
Love from Bella
p.s. Andy said she really hopes this one doesn't chase her. She has been really social lately and has even come to hang out with us in the living room a couple of nights. wow!

Benjamin is home!
Well Benjamin's new family came and got him last night. They were so excited and so was he! mom had to call him back to her just to get a last hug.
Here they are...

Anyway it was still a lively night last night. Mom decided to leave Bella out of her kennell last night and leave her and Boxen in the bedroom. When she came home she found the wrapper and one sock from a new package of six socks!
She didn't know who had eaten the socks and she didn't want to have to make a trip to the emergency vet so out came the hydrogen peroxide. They all went outside, I am not allowed and didn't want to see but I watched from the back door. Boxen got his first. He has been known to eat clothing so that is why he got it first. Mom wasn't sure how much to give so he got a capfull and we waited...
Nothing...so he got a shotglass full and we waited...up came food but no socks. Poor Boxen had to be sick when he didn't even do anything I could have told mom that but I can't talk. Oh well...
So then it was Bella's turn. I want you to know this girl can close off her throat when she wants to. So it took mom three tries to get the shot glass down her. Soon enough...
Five socks came up...whole!
So after that everyone was ready for bed. Ugh...why can't they just leave stuff alone!
Anyway this morning everything is nice and calm. It took me a little while to realize that the cat chaser was gone and to tell you the truth I kind of miss him. He kept Boxen and Bella entertained and make mom laugh a lot.
I hope he is happy at his new home. Mom says we will get a new foster brother in a couple of weeks. We are waiting to see who comes in and will fit into our family the best.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! I know I will be doing lots of sleeping...
Kitty kisses

Benjamin's new home
Hi everyone it's Benjamin here. This blog thing is really cool! Boxen and Bella are letting me blog today because I am going to my new home on Friday. I am really excited! It is a home that has another Boxer, a really pretty girl, two shitzus that I have to learn to be nice to and two kitties. The kitties have claws so I really have to be nice to them.
I thought I would take a minute to tell you about where I came from and the wonderful people that helped me out! Mom is working with NorCal Boxer Rescue. Here is their linky...
http://www.ncbr.org

Mom gets to do lots of fun stuff with the rescue. She gets to go to pet fairs and help educate and help get some of us adopted. She gets to help pull Boxers from shelters and get us to the vet, and take us from the vet to our new foster homes. The most important thing she does is foster us. She will get us from the vet and take care of us untill we get adopted. This is very important. Some boxers that come through the rescue, like me, need special attention. I was very sick with worms and needed to gain some weight. I also needed to learn some manners and learn that my crate was a good thing. I love it now and will walk into it on my own! Mom will hold onto one of us untill she thinks we have learned how to be a great Boxer and then she will start looking for our new homes. It does not matter how long it takes us to find homes either, she keeps us for however long it takes. I was with her for a little over a month.
The rescue depends on their fosters, we do not have a shelter. We have 36 available Boxers right now and more come in every day. There are 24 Boxers that are sitting in shelters that still need foster homes. Mom said she will go and get one of them once a week or two has passed. She wants to give Boxen and Bella a break between guests to have some alone time with mom and dad. Also having me in the house has made Andy a little stressed so she needs a break.
Thanks for listening about me and the rescue. They always need help and love to have people that might help foster, or might help transport, or might help with other stuff like fundraisers and pet fairs. They need help in all places, even with just money donations. Please go and visit our website and read more, there is lots more to read.
I will post soon about my new family! I am really excited to go to them but really scared to leave mom. She is the first kind person to love me and I am really attached to her.
Hope you all have a doggeriffic day!
